Belive 2012

The JW Marriott Marquis Miami was the perfect setting for the grand celebration of BeLive’s 6th Anniversary. The gala commenced with celebrities, personalities and guests walking the Blue Pepsi carpet in front of  countless members of the press and media, cameras and photographers.  Celebrities who joined us for the evening included Chip Ganassi, Felix Sabates, Candela Ferro, Humberto Rodriguez “El Gato” Calderon, Susana Gonzalez, Karent Sierra, Mercedes Soler, Andres Lopez, Natalia Cruz, Ingrid Hoffmann, and many more. Guests then enjoyed signature cocktails by Simply Delicioso Star, Ingrid Hoffmann as well as sumptuous hors d’oeuvres, while perusing two stunning  silent auctions.

The first auction was our Project Emerald, a unique initiative which collaborated with distinguished Jewelry Designers from Colombia and the US, to create one-of-a-kind pieces including earrings, bracelets, clutches, a hairpiece and even a traditional Colombian Mochila designed specially for BeLive by renowned Designer Silvia Tcherassi. This initiative paid tribute to one of Colombia’s most recognizable riches, the emerald. For our second auction, BeLive alongside Artesanías de Colombia and in collaboration with FedEx, selected some of Colombia’s most beautiful artisanal pieces to showcase during the evening. These unique and handmade crafts were created by artisans who have learned their work for many years generationally. Guests then enjoyed a sumptuous three course dinner designed by the executive Chef at the JW Marriott Marquis. The evening’s spectacular Fashion Show was in the hands of Venezuelan born designer, Nicolas Felizola.

This internationally celebrated and renowned designer unveiled his much anticipated 2013 MOOI Collection and showed stunning looks from his most recognizable Red Carpet Ensembles. This year, the BeLive Award was presented to Catalina Escobar for her foundation “Fundación Juan Felipe Gomez Escobar” and was recently named a semifinalist for the 2012 CNN Heroes Awards. The evening came to an amazing end with a spectacular and intimate concert by “El Caballero de la Salsa” Gilberto Santa Rosa.
